Hebron Zion Presbyterian Church has a rich history rooted in the Sea Islands spanning back to the 1890's. The current church is the culmination of the merger of the Old Hebron Presbyterian Church and Zion Presbyterian Church in 1990. This year the Church will celebrate its 30th Anniversary.
Rev. Patricia B. Jones has a Bachelor's of Arts in English from Morris College and a Master of Divinity from Erskine Theological Seminary. She served 9 years as a Ruling Elder at St. James Presbyterian Church. She worked in public safety communications for over 19 years for the Charleston County Sheriff's Office and the Charleston County Consolidated 9-1-1 Center. She was installed and ordained on September 23, 2018, making her the first woman pastor in the history of Hebron Zion Church.
Our Church School starts weekly on Sunday morning at 10am and is followed by Worship service which starts at 11 am. Our services are complemented by our Senior, Combined, Male and Youth Choirs. Our doors are open and you are welcome to join us. Our Weekly Bible Study is held on Wednesday from 6pm until 7pm. Weekly Prayer service is at noon on Wednesday. Both are conducted via Zoom.
Our Food Pantry is open three days per week providing food to those in the surrounding community with wholesome groceries for their families. The Food Pantry is open on Wednesday and Thursday from 10am - 2pm.
The Hebron St. Francis Senior Program meets weekly on Wednesday from 10 am - 2 pm. The group enjoys bible study, crafts, outings and fellowship.
Our mission programs are supported by the outpouring of love from our congregants, community supporters and contributors. Volunteers are always welcome to assist in supporting these missions.
